Our Holiday Gift Drive gives families the opportunity to “shop” for gifts for each other as part of our Santa’s Workshop. Santa’s Workshop is available to any guest family staying with us during the weeks leading up to Christmas Day. Volunteers wrap the gifts and deliver the presents back to families’ rooms.
Fill the bellies and hearts of the families staying with us this holiday season by preparing a meal at one of our Houses. Whether it’s as part of a Guest Chef group or as a meal volunteer, your home-cooked recipes will help relieve stress for families at the House.
Your support means a comfortable bed, a warm meal, and a “home away from home” for families with sick children. Please give as generously as you can to keep them near the care and resources they need.
Cooking and entertaining are a little more meaningful knowing that you are helping keep RMHC families together. We’re grateful to our partners at Dillard’s for helping us keep families together when they need it most through their Southern Living Cookbook
Every time you visit a local McDonald’s restaurant, you can help support families with ill and injured children by asking to Round-Up for RMHC when you place your order on the kiosk, with a crew member at the counter, or when ordering in the drive-thru. Your spare change can change a family’s experience. Best yet- each cent donated stays local supporting your home RMHC chapter.
There are many ways to support RMHC-NM through your everyday activities. Take a look at below for ideas
Collect Pop Tabs at home, work, school, or in your community, then drop the tabs off at Ronald McDonald House, and we’ll be happy to recycle them for you. If you live out of town, you may also recycle the tabs yourself and donate the proceeds to the House.
Please note: many manufacturers of soup, pet food, etc., are now using steel cans with pull tabs. The steel tabs are not a part of this recycling program – only aluminum tabs. Not sure how to tell? Steel tabs stick to a magnet, but aluminum tabs will not.
Collect Pop Tabs in any easy-to-empty container – zip lock bags or coffee cans work well, but not milk or juice jugs. RMHC Pop Tab Collection Houses are also available.
THANK YOU to all the schools that have participated in our Pop Tab Collection Contest over the years. RMHC-NM is no longer sponsoring a school contest, but you can still help support our families by collecting aluminum tabs and bringing them to the Yale House at 1011 Yale Blvd NE or by taking them directly to Rudy’s Recycling at 1224 2nd Street, NW, Albuquerque. (Rudy will donate the funds from your donation directly to RMHC-NM.)
Every time you visit McDonald’s, you can support RMHC-NM programs by choosing to: Round-Up for RMHC when you place your order on the kiosk or asking the crew to Round-Up your order to the nearest dollar, by selecting a fixed donation to RMHC-NM in the McDonald’s Mobile App or you can drop spare change in any of the RMHC Donation Boxes in restaurants or drive-thru.
